Why I joined Rotary. 2007 was a difficult year for me. My husband had passed in January, which we knew would happen. As we had many friends and acquaintances who were Rotarians and wanted me to join it was a good time to accept the invitation. Rotary San Jose is a large club and I specifically liked the aspect of it. When I relocated to Auburn and found the Auburn Gold Country Club joining was a life saver. I was able to focus my energy on projects I believed in and also saw the results.
Why I stay in Rotary. Rotary connects me with the community I live in. I can feel like being a member of such.
How I find meaning within the club. Reaching out to the community local and Global. I especially like international projects as I love to travel and at the same time provide assistance. Time well spent. I am always thankful for the club members I meet and work with.
